A choice of wide fit trainers and boots by Feather & Sole

Why have plus sized feet been left behind?

Not so long ago, the only places to shop for plus size clothing were specific retailers. These were often dowdy and unflattering with fashion and style far from the agenda.

Almost overnight, the rest of the high street became inclusive and embraced the curves of women of all shapes and sizes.

So why have plus sized wide fit shoes been left behind?

The lower end of the high street have added ‘wide fit’ collections. These are often ill fitting and mostly made from plastic, which can leave your feet feeling swollen and sore.  If you have bunions or a medical condition,  comfortable yet fashionable shoes for sore, swollen, wide fitting feet are pretty much non-existent.

Our customers feedback highlighted the need for fashionable, wide fitting, leather shoes.  We were often restricted by the retailers we had worked for and so shaped the idea to start our own brand where the customers’ needs and comfort came first.

Launching Feather & Sole is such an exciting step for us! Creating our own fashionable, yet comfortable, true wide fit leather range has been our dream for so long. It’s been a rollercoaster of excitement and the occasional ‘what on earth have we got ourselves into’ but well worth it!

We can’t wait to hear your feedback and of course, see you in our shoes so please share! Share! Share! Your feedback matters.

I am having problems finding boots that fit my wide feet, as I also have swollen/thick ankles, so I am very interested.
The only query I have is, that although the length and width fitting is very well explained. I would be more confident in buying if there was also more information on how your boots fit around the ankles?
